Have you been wondering why some barbecues taste truly good while others don’t? The secret of a good BBQ recipe is actually in the marinade and quality of the pork. Know this, even if you have a very good BBQ recipe but your meat is not of high quality and the ingredients that you use in your marinades are not really good, your barbeque will not really taste so delicious. Always remember that a good BBQ recipe is just your guide and if you do not have the right ingredients to go with your BBQ recipe, you cannot really hope to cook a good barbeque.

. There are several BBQ recipes that include good marinades. Test your BBQ recipe and find out if it offers some good marinades. If your BBQ recipe does not include good marinades, find some recipes for marinade online or simply concoct one on your own. Making marinades is not really so difficult if you know the basic ingredients that you need to use. On other hand, you aren’t truly so keep on making your own marinades ; you can just drop by at your favourite food store and buy one of those bottled marinades. Yes, those bottled marinades aren’t precisely as good as home-made marinades but they’re actually really suitable to use.

Now, if you insist on making your own marinades, you have to have the required ingredients. A good marinade is made up of several ingredients and it is always it a liquid form. Common ingredients for marinades are oil, acid and spices. The acid in the marinade is used to break down the beef and make it tender. There are a considerable number of acids you can use to tenderize the beef. Some these acid based liquids are vinegar, wine, lager, milk and some fruit juices. If you’d like to use fruit juice as your acid base, try some pineapple juice or orange.

The oil in the marinade keeps the beef from drying out during griddling. Peanut oil, plant oil, corn oil and olive oil are typically utilised for marinades. No, you should never use butter or bacon drippings in your marinade. These kinds of oil coagulate when cold. To give your barbecue a distinctive taste, add spices into your marinade. As an example, if you’d like to add some Mexican hot and spicy tinge into your bar-b-cue add some pepper into your BBQ recipe.

Get Spring Started Right With BBQ

Do you only BBQ a few days per year, such as the 4th of July? If you fit that bill, then you’re missing out on some of the best times of the year to  be out grilling. Maybe you don’t wear white after Labor Day, but you better break out the grill and smoker because you can server up mouth watering food during Spring

Spring offer backyard grillers some of the most favorable weather to try out their favorite bbq recipes. Insects are at a minimum and the heat off the grill will not help cook your bones along with the hot Summer sun! It’s nice to be able to relax and cook the way you want without sweating all over the bbq.

Any food you grill during the Summer only gets better in the Spring. It’s also the perfect time to try your hand at grilling Wild Game. Many hunters have some meat in the freezer from Fall hunts plus there are a lot of grocers now carrying Wild Game. Keep in mind that most Wild Game has less fat than beef, chicken or pork so it will need special attention. Mainly, that you should cook it slower and be sure not to overcook it. It should have a warm pink center.

There are a few things you will need to keep in mind before heading out in the Spring to bbq. For starters, always carefully rais the hood and check inside. Wasp, bees and other varmits may be calling your grill home now so be careful the first time you use your grill.

Electric smokers and gas grills may require an insulative blanket on cool days. This is especially true for electric smokers. Chilly Spring winds can quickly sap all the heat from an electric smoker and cause the internal temperature to fall below safe levels. Most electric smoker dealers carry these special blankets. Make sure what ever you use to wrap your smoker or grill, that it’s fire proof. It can be easy to set anything else on fire so be careful.

You’ll also need to take into consideration where your grill and smoker are set up. Before firing your grill up, make sure all the old grass and leaves are removed from around it. This can go up like a Roman candle from the smallest of sparks, especially if there is a wind to help it out. Always keep these areas mowed and if in doubt, hose down the area around your grill and smoker.

Don’t wait for those hundred degree days to arrive before breaking out your grill. BBQ’ing can be a year round activity, so this year plan on keeping it out and using it. Try cooking your Holiday meals out on the grill. Nothing says lovin’ like fresh smoked Ham or grilled Turkey for those Holiday dinners! It’s also an excellent time to get out and try your favorite baby back rib recipes.
