Good news tea drinkers: there are far more advantages to drinking tea than formerly thought! Tea has been drunk across the ages for the nice, relaxing effect it has on folk, but latterly the concentration on tea has changed. Doctors and analysts are now touting the health advantages of tea and are urging folks to drink up to five or six tumblers of it a day.

The British don't need any convincing. They're the most important tea drinkers in the world consuming over 165 million cups of it a day! But other countries are hopping on board the tea lover train and it's estimated that next to water, tea is the following most generally consumed libation in the world.

Studies have indicated for some time that green tea has great health advantages for helping raise our immunological response, but the newest reports say that the advantages of green tea go even farther. The great news is simply that green tea also has excellent reanimating effects on our skin. In a study published in the Book of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, it found that substances in green tea can actually have an effect on dying epidermal cells.

These chemicals reactivate and energize the dying cells, and the hope is that this technology can be applied to skin care products. The chemicals found in green tea are called polyphenols which are a type of catechin. These phytochemicals work at a cellular level definitely having an effect on our bodies.

T heGreen tea and skin cancer

There's evidence that the topical application of creams with green tea extract can help reduce sun damage and the danger of carcinoma of the skin. But it's not that the green tea offers UV protection. What the green tea essentially does to guard skin is to reduce inflammation and scavenge oxidizing agents. Analysts are looking at using green tea extract in sunscreens together with UV obstructing ingredients to make a synergistic effect. And since it's the antioxidants in green tea that seem to help our skin fight sun damage, the better news is that you also get the advantages of these anti-oxidants through drinking tea, which means that you can also shield your skin from the interior out.
Green tea and skin ageing

But the skin advantages of green tea don't stop there. There's also proof that green tea can help slow down getting older. Matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) are the enzymes that make a contribution to ageing and degradation of the skin. Studies have shown that green tea can repress MMPs which is excellent news for folks who need to keep their skin looking fresh and young.

There are more studies which have shown the topical application of green tea can also help with the elastic content of skin, and this could be related to the MMP enzyme effect.
So that the great news is simply that there are two different ways to reap the skin benefits of green tea: you can drink it and you can put it on your skin. So make a selection and enjoy green tea in as many tactics as you can.

Learn How Lavender Essential Oil Aromatherapy Can Relive Stress.

The sense of smell, in its simplest form, is the ability to detect chemicals and it is one of the oldest senses. Researchers have found that humans can distinguish several thousands of smells. You probably realize how deeply different smells and aromas effect us. They influence our mood, our health and our psychological well being as well. Aromatherapy is a form of alternative medicine that harnesses the power and influence of aromas to heal the body and mind.

The sense of smell resides in the olfactory region which connects to the limbic system. The limbic system is the emotional centre and it is primarily responsible for associating smells with actions and memories. Aromatherapy rejuvenates you by soothing your mind and body. You can enjoy scented baths and therapeutic massages at most spas or you can use scented salts and essential oils for a relaxing bubble bath at home. Lavender essential oil and frankincense essential oil are very popular choices.

Essential oils are aromatic organic compounds which are naturally produced by plants. Essential oils are extracted from plant parts using steam distillation. Synthetic essential oils contain an artificial variant of the active compound present in the natural product. Essential oils are generally diluted with a carrier which is an odorless vegetable oil. Undiluted oils are considered therapeutic grade but it is a loose definition and varies widely.

Bergamot, Lemongrass, Cedarwood, Chamomile, Champaca, Clary Sage, Eucalyptus, Grapefruit, Immortelle, lavender and frankincense essential oils are some of the more popular oils. Lemongrass, for instance, works great as an antidepressant. Similarly eucalyptus oil has been used for ages to keep away insects and mosquitoes. Some essential oils are used to treat respiratory infection and congestion whereas some are good for topical skin application.

Certain essential oils also have side effects like skin irritation, nausea etc. Test concentrated oils before applying as they can cause skin irritation. Natural extracts, especially lemon and citrus oils, contain a large number of chemicals and some can be toxic. Lavender essential oil is known to cause breast enlargement and Eucalyptus oil can be toxic if ingested. To be on the safe side read the relevant literature before purchasing or using any essential oils.

Look At Life And Learn To Live It

Many people nowadays don’t know how to look at life and learn to live it in all the positive ways that are available to them. They feel as as if they’re caught up in a rat race that they never really entered in the first place. But, there are ways to alleviate the effects of the race through positive activities that can help bring just a small amount of beauty to an individual life.

As an example, for anybody who loves to cook and wants to learn to do it better, it may be a good idea to sign up for private cooking classes. Surprisingly, one or two private sessions with professional chefs or cooking instructors really doesn’t cost all that much, as long as one doesn’t expect to have Wolfgang Puck teaching the class. And it can be a great way to begin cultivating beauty in a life.

It’s well to keep in mind, though, when it comes to cooking instruction that just about any chef or instructor willing to pass along the secrets of the trade can be very demanding. In part, they are artistes mixed in with a little Marine drill sergeant. However, the end result (great food that’s beautifully prepared) can make it worthwhile, so check out the Internet for one of these classes.

Another way to relieve stress and actually bring a fair amount of beauty to one’s life is to think about how one organizes and holds onto memories. Sure, digital photos can be taken and stored on a memory stick but that’s a far cry from something like a scrapbook album, which not only can have photos but also personal mementos that can never be scanned in and turned into ones and zeros.

People are funny creatures. They like to touch, and feel and smell. And though the computer and the Internet have been two of the single greatest innovations in human history, they still cannot replace these tactile senses that help people keep memories alive for a lifetime. Leafing through one of those albums, after they’ve been prepared, can be a great way to keep love and memories flowing.

Now, this isn’t to say that building a good album will be easy, because it can take a little bit of work to learn how to do so. But, there are a great many classes and community education courses available to teach people how to make scrapbook pages that are part of albums, with both turning into works of art when they are created with the right spirit and feeling.

That’s why anybody out there who’s looking to learn to live life more fully should be looking at learning at least one positive activity to do so. It really won’t cost anything at all and when they’re done with real feeling they can bring around even the most hardhearted person to the idea that there is more to life than just running on a little hamster wheel.
