The Popularity Of Frozen Yogurt Franchises

The summer of 2011 is proving to be an even warmer year for frozen yogurt franchise, recession notwithstanding. Check into the number of shopping areas and strip malls nationally then there is a freshly opened frozen yogurt shop.

The craze, or possibly we should say its second coming, had its beginning in Southern California. Given how successful and popular yogurt brands are such as Pinkberry and Red Mango, numerous yogurt franchise opportunities have cropped up; and, since 2007, they’ve been constantly increasing. Folks have seen their own fascination with the merchandise and imagined how this could turn out into earnings.

In total, that’s a great deal of frozen yogurt franchises. Just how many private yogurt shops that it symbolizes might cause some investors great worries and sleepless nights. But, probably the undeniable fact that the frozen sweets industry has turned into a $12 billion enterprise–a big percentage of which is attributed to yogurt–might offer some comfort and ease.

Most of the current trends show that many franchises are getting off the favorite “designer” frozen yogurt franchise designs of the Pinkberrys and Red Mangoes of this marketplace and moving toward the self-serve types. Apart from the usually more expensive franchise expense, the items are generally more expensive as well.

These days, given the popularity of yogurt treats, at $5-$7, customers will stay away. Or, given the choice to pump their very own servings, get priced by pounds (any where from 30 to 50 cents an ounce-roughly $3 for any cup or occasionally much less), and get to enjoy the same type of toppings, they’d forgo the fancy décor and also the manufacturer in a heartbeat.

Self-serve yogurt franchises usually do not imply staff-free. It simply means less staff. It would be best to keep a number of staffers to ensure that hygiene concerns won’t pop up and order is taken care of. This is one key point in which a franchise’s business design might either see some business investors through or the other way around.

As it stands, competition is intense. The frozen yogurt machine is flourishing and everybody wants one. Only time will tell who definitely are left standing up. There are actually just too many praises to claim with it.

The primary factor to think about in obtaining an useful frozen yogurt franchise is to find a location which doesn’t have any yogurt retail outlet as of yet. There are so many yogurt shops however, you should do your very best in distance in comparison to ordinary yogurt shops when it comes to the uniqueness and the variety it includes.

Marshmallow Fluff Desserts

One of the most popular sweet ingredients in America is Marshmallow Fluff, produced by Durkee-Mower. It is an extremely versatile ingredient that can be used to make a huge variety of desserts and many people even just like to eat it straight from the jar!

In this article we’ll look at the various different kinds of recipes you can use Marshmallow Fluff for – you’ll be surprised at some of them!

You can now buy Marshmallow Fluff in the UK in jars of different sizes from online retailers of American food, which means you don’t have to be in America to enjoy this delicious ingredient.

There are more than 50 recipes that use Marshmallow Fluff, from pies through drinks to sauces and frostings. These are our favourites.

Typically American, the Fluffernutter Pie combines Fluff with peanut butter. A pie casing of sorts is made using unsweetened cocoa powder and a hint of vanilla, combined with the usual ingredients for a pie casing.

The filling is then made by beating Marshmallow Fluff and peanut butter with butter, sugar and milk until it is light and fluffy. The filling is then added to the cooled pie casings to complete this Fluffernutter Pie.

Marshmallow Fluff can be used to create incredible shakes by blending it with combinations of fruit, fruit juice, milk, coffee granules, cocoa powder and yes, even peanut butter again! Combine with ice to make a delicious ‘iced’ version of the drinks, which works especially well in a Frozen Coffee Shake – milk, coffee granules and the Fluff all blended with ice. Give it a try!

You can even use it to make fudge (Never-Fail-Fudge as it is known), by combining it with butter, sugar, evaporated milk, chocolate pieces and vanilla, gently boiling it up in a saucepan before pouring it into a greased baking tray and allowing to cool – we’re assured it never fails!

Fancy a sauce for your dessert? How about Butterscotch sauce? It’s easy with Marshmallow Fluff – just boil up water and brown sugar, then stir into the Fluff and butter to create this perfect sauce, ideal for topping sponge puddings and the like.

Or how about this for a very American soufflé – cook some sweet potatoes until soft and the beat them until they are smooth. Beat in eggs, milk, butter, salt and some Marshmallow Fluff and pour into a soufflé dish, baking for about 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and spread the remaining Fluff over the top, right to the edges before returning to a hotter oven for 5-10 minutes to add that soufflé crispiness.

Lastly, the frosting we mentioned earlier. This is a classic frosting for sponge cakes and is so simple to make. All you need is Fluff, egg whites, sugar, salt, water, cream of tartar and vanilla extract.

Combine everything except the vanilla in a bowl over hot water – hot, not boiling! – and beat until peaks begin to form. Take it off the heat and carry on beating until it is stiff, then add the vanilla and beat a little more. That’s it. Spread it between layers of cake and on top and you’ve got one seriously tasty dessert!

There are many, many more recipes using Marshmallow Fluff that demonstrate just how versatile this ingredient is. Get some today and start experimenting yourself.
